On the background of an exceptional French garden, enriched with fountain, in the shadow of a distant castle, we attend the meeting or the reunion of two noble ladies dressed in rich clothes. Two ladies of company, also richly dressed, attend the scene, one of them brandishing what seems to be an olive branch. This meeting should indeed seal an alliance between two kingdoms (?) and thus guarantee peace. The scene takes place in an inextricable undergrowth, at the edge of a secular forest, under the eye of a majestic peacock and another perched bird. Two small rabbits brighten up the decor. Gallooned border.
