Caravaneer in polychrome terracotta with his arm raised, camped in full action, holding the bridle of a camel in his left hand. He is dressed in a tunic with an open collar and boots.
The caravaneers carried luxury goods and spices. This one is a foreigner, a Sogdian recognizable by his high pointed cap slumped over himself and a full beard. These merchants played a major role in international trade.
