Tapestry of Flanders from the beginning of... - Lot 621 - FEE - Stanislas Machoïr
Tapestry of Flanders from the beginning of the 17th century Technical characteristics : Wool and silk Dimensions : Height : 210cm ; Width : 335cm This tapestry, tells us a mythological or historical scene, which puts forward a sovereign. Nobly dressed, crowned, standing on a cushion, in front of her magnificent throne with a marine decoration, in a haughty way, while a servant pours from an amphora, in the chalice that the queen gives her, a drink, a noble person dressed in the antique way points out to her a temple erected in her honor or in the honor of a god (or goddess). An elegant young page assists the presentation as well as a dog sitting, impassive. Colonnades, amphora and stains complete the decor. A certificate of authenticity of the expert, Mr Frank KASSAPIAN, will be given to the buyer.
