Black glazed ceramic guttus with a gadrooned body decorated in the central medallion with the face of Medusa, her hair wavy, separated by a median stripe from which emerge snakes at their end. It has a long spout and a ring-shaped handle on the side. The gutti contained perfumed oils used for the exercises of the palestra or for the toilet. The moulded rim on the outside of the spout was used to spread the oil on the skin. The separately modelled spout was attached after a hole had been cut in the shoulder of the vase from the outside in. Apulia 300 BC H : 10,7cm L :11,8cm
