Workshops of Guillaume WERNIERS in Lille. Beautiful polychromy. Remarkable finesse. Beautiful freshness of colours. Very good state of preservation. Good general condition. Ht. 360cm - Width 380cm Tapestry depicting, on the bank of a river, a dairy woman conversing with a farmer woman next to a pair of cows, while below a shepherd listens to a flute tune played by a cowherd, and ducks frolic on the bank. The country themes have very often been interpreted in the workshops of France and Flanders. At the bottom right, on the edge of the panel field, the presence of the abbreviation ""G.
