Sandstone statue of an acephalous male deity represented standing in samabhanga on a high square base. The sampot characteristic of the Baphuon school is fitted close to the body, starting at the top of the hips and descending just below the navel. The belt is placed low on the hips where the front flap is tied into stylized leaves and the back flap into a series of crosses. Cambodia, Khmer, Baphuon, Angkor period, 11th century A.D. 16x15x34cm
