PERRET and VIBERT. Attributed to. Ironwood dressing table carved with heads of fantastic animals, dragons, scrolls and foliage and inlaid with mother-of-pearl floral decoration. Marble top with a carved wood gallery topped by an oval mirror. Provenance: Property of the Tarn: Previously dressing table of Josephine Baker in the castle of Milandes, Dordogne. Length: 100 cl, Height: 201 cm, Depth: 59 cm. The end of the 19th century was marked by the "Chinese-Japanese" fashion with cabinet makers like VIARDOS or PERRET and VIBERT with the universal exhibitions of Antwerp and Paris and from 1867 onwards, and this under the impulse of the crystal staircase.
