Denarius of JULIA TITI, daughter of Titus struck in 79-80 in Rome in silver Julia TITI, daughter of Titus and Marcia Furnilla. The emperor Titus Flavius Vespasianus born in 41 is the eldest son of Vespasian and Flavia Domitilla, he was educated by Britannicus. He served in GERMANY and BRITAIN and commanded a legion in the Jewish campaign of his father. He reigned from 79 to 81 AD. He remained famous for the capture of Jerusalem, in 70. Venus half-naked standing right, diademed, holding helmet in right hand and long transverse scepter in left, leaning on column. The representation of the goddess of beauty and love was a popular reverse from the time of the Republic until the beginning of the 4th century. She is depicted fully clothed or half-naked as on our reverse, and she stands with her back turned modestly to the viewers. She can be found on many coins of Julius Caesar who said he was descended from the goddess
