Sea lilies, crinoids: Pentacrinus Subangularis, echinoderms, very ancient phylum of marine invertebrates, like sea stars and sea urchins. forming a picture on a large rectangular plate. The crinoid bears 5 or more multiply branched arms extending from a small calyx. The articles, small sections of the stems are clearly visible. The young were attached to floating pieces of wood and had a pseudoplactonic lifestyle. The adults were probably attached to the ground. The stems were erected obliquely. From Holzmaden, Germany, in Bavaria in posidonia shale. Dating from the Lias epsilon- Lower Jurassic, 180 million years. Plant : 103 cm Plate 135x72 cm
