Rutene, Drachma with horse and finial, 1st century B.C. silver, 2.2g. Degree of rarity: R3 A: ANEPIGRAPH, stylized head on the left, beaded pelts. R : ANEPIGRAPH. Horse passing left, a pellet rouelle with a center dot above the rump. LT 3571: D/ within a grenetis, small head l., inscribed within a crescent, pointed nose, dotted eye, scalloped chin, hair figured by 5 round balls staggered from forehead to nape of neck; in front of mouth, 3 arciform pelleted designs; below, ringed torque. R/ in a grenetis, horse standing left, on a ground line; right front leg raised, long tail falling vertically; inscribing itself in the angle formed by the back and the neck, ringed finial, possibly pointed; a fine line starts from the muzzle and describes, above the animal and the finial, a circular arc.
