Original and important Aubusson tapestry. Beginning of XVIIIth century. Two themes : The return from work and the hunting of the boar. Carton inspired by the engraving: the return of work, from the pastorals (suite of 17 pieces) after Claudine Bouzonnet Stella (1641- 1697) Technical characteristics: In wool and silk Restorations of maintenance Some natural oxidations Dimensions: Height: 270cm; Width: 395cm. In a green undergrowth, decorated with a pond, a group of four merry men are moving from their village to the city, to the sound of the fife. While the sheep are grazing peacefully, the group crosses paths with a horseman on his mount and his dog tracking wild boar. Figurative frame decorated with a braid of flowers in polychrome.
