KACHAN in silk (Persia), late 19th century.... - Lot 33 - FEE - Stanislas Machoïr
KACHAN in silk (Persia), late 19th century. Dimensions : 208 x 125cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundations. Density of 640,000 knots in one square meter. An ivory ogive field, with accolades, hosts a paradisiacal decoration, composed of four trees of life, with intertwined trunks, branches and twigs, decorated with multicoloured flowers, all more varied and colourful one than the other, as well as a splendid bluish central vase, from which polychrome floral stems are extracted. Two double vegetalized vaults, fuchsia and sky, overlook the whole. Two old gold floral counterborders frame the main one, fuchsia, with a frieze of interlacing polychrome floral branches. Beautiful set.
