Rare KACHAN (Persia), late 19th century,... - Lot 95 - FEE - Stanislas Machoïr
Rare KACHAN (Persia), late 19th century, woven in the workshops of the master weaver MORTACHEM A brick field supports an oblong ivory counter-field with accolades, itself hosting a polylobé marine, brick, sky and ivory polylobé floral medallion and its pendants. The ensemble is surrounded by four small spandrels and is entirely covered with delicate floral foliage. The magnificent main marine border with brick brackets is adorned with vases with polychrome flower stems and small stylized cypresses. Three ivory and brick plant counter-borders flanked by chess pieces complete the frame. Nice example. (Wear and tear, as is) 210 x 130cm
