KIRMAN (Persia) late 19th century An ivory... - Lot 69 - FEE - Stanislas Machoïr
KIRMAN (Persia) late 19th century An ivory field gives us a glimpse of the gate to the Garden of Eden. A symbolic tree of life in all its twists and turns supports a multitude of exquisite polychrome flowering branches. Under two perched birds, a marine vault in arabesques with a rich decoration of plant volutes is drawn. The ivory border and the two counterborders are garlands of polychrome flowers. Prayer configuration. 206 x 134cm
